Probably because they think the U is superfluous.

On a similar note, I am pleased to see you wrote a foreword rather than a forward (sic). The English language salutes you!

There's an (early prototype) sample character floating around in this forum - a dwarf assassin. But most of the work right now is on the system, so the N.E.W. previews are very much O.L.D. previews, too. I'll try putting out some more O.L.D. stuff, but the N.E.W. stuff is more presentable right now.
