Name This Campaign World

I was looking through some of my old D&D stuff, and I found the classic module, X1 - The Isle of Dread. Inside, there is a campaign world setting along with the adventure. I thought that was pretty cool. Anyway, I played this adventure a long, long time ago, back when it was new *gasp* and I know that the setting described therein was used in other modules as one of the first well-detailed campaign worlds in the D&D genre.

My question is this. I'm sure that this world has been complied somewhere, but what is the name of this campaign world, and where might I get more information on it? I know that some of the kingdoms of this world (Kingdom of Ierendi, Grand Duchy of Karameikos, Emirate of Ylaruam, Princes of Glantri, etc) have been detailed on their own in old D&D 1.0, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a website with information on this world.

If I'm not mistaken that world became Mystara.

As a D&D world, it was simply "The Known World". Later, when it was made into an AD&D world, it became Mystara.

The Known World ruled. Mystara not so much.

Actually, Mystara is to the Known World what Toril is to the Forgotten Realms.

The Known World is one of the campaign settings of Mystara. Others include the Hollow World, and Savage Coast/Red Steel.
