Reactive/Adaptive Armor/Flesh/Self/Body

Blue Magic Warrior - Your class becomes stronger against opponent's attacks as they use them, and the Blue Mage absorbs opponent's magics as they use them; it might work.

Power Ranger - This one's mostly a joke, but they do seem to bounce back up and become resistent to things that don't kill them outright the first time.

Dang it, I keep thinking of Sci-Fi energy shields (Goa'uld in Stargate SG-1, for example) that put out more energy when being hit by stronger attacks.

Bleh, at least I threw out some ideas.

I do like the class. Strong, but not all the best stuff up at the first levels making it one to complete rather than just dip into.

1. Nothing for Will save? ;)

2. If Kronk (a 5th level "??") am hit with an attack in round 1 I gain +1 natural armour... If I am then hit again, in round 3 it increases to +2...

The question: Does the first bonus go away in round 6, or is the timer reset in round 3, with the second hit?

1. The Juggernaut (I decided to call it the Juggernaut) is a purely physical class. Your body reacts to improve itself, not your mind.

2. Good question. If I do it the first way, I think it'd make for far too much complication in the middle of battle, which is usually complicated enough.

I think that I'll say that each hit resets the timer. Mostly I want to make sure you can't start the battle all buffed up, and the max duration is 10 rounds. There should usually be at least one minute between battles, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Sounds like a great class in concept. In usage, I'm afraid it might be a lot of paperwork, keeping track of how many times buddy's been hit with certain effects, etc. I'd have to see how it plays in a normal round of combat. If it's not too clunky, it'd be great.

I created a half-sheet of paper with several mid-sized squares on it, each with a different type of bonus in it, and just used a bunch of little tokens. I convinced my DM to let me play one a while back, and while the game didn't last long, the class seemed to work alright. Switching the tokens back and forth was easy enough, anyway. It was a little less powerful than I had originally planned, since you have to actually get hit before it starts to work, but in teh late battle it really catches up with all the defensive abilities that get built up.
