ehem, well then the person who wrote the book made a mistake
. Ok, I take it all back, the author can mistakenly write any name anyway he wants... I doubt his keyboard had access to a spanish ñ so he can be forgiven. Nevertheless, the actor says his name in the movie 'the princess bride', with the correct Spanish pronunciation. As far as I know/knew it was the movie that made the phrase famous The Spanish spelling of the name(as per the pronunciation in the movie) is Iñigo.
Certainly his name dubbed into Spanish is Iñigo. And in the OV, he does have quite a suspiciously Spanish accent too doesn't he...
