I'm looking forward to it. Release date is...?

I think Dec/Jan if I am not mistaken and page count and art are still being worked on, but we can fill you in as we go.
Thanks for all the great comments on the cover art, we are very happy with Jason Engle as well!

The new materials in the print version are not fully completed, but there will definitely be new games. Also, we'll be revising the rules for Bahly to make it play more like a fast-paced sport (and I might even include things like football, American football, basketball, and so on). We're also considering adding in an entire extra sample tavern or fair, if it won't make the book too long.

I'm also working on rules for running a tournament, fair, or tavern yourself, but I'll only include them if I'm content with them.

Is there hope that this will be available, even 3 month after the release of the print version, as a web enhancement for pdf customer?

Well, I know Mystic did this with the print version of Wild Spellcraft, and I think they might be able to swing it for TFT. If you had previously bought a pdf copy of Wild Spellcraft, you could get a discount on the print version. Since I got a free copy (:), I have my own book!), I didn't have to do this, but I think it was really cool of them to do. I don't know if it's feasible for TFT, though, so don't hold me to it.

Thus, there probably shouldn't be a need to make a web enhancement of the new material. We might still make one, but it will probably be mostly text, with nothing fancy to it.

Also, since the page count definitely won't go above 96 (and will probably top out at 80 or 88), we won't have room for any sort of comprehensive system for running taverns or inns. Anyway, I'm not a business person, and rules for such a thing wouldn't interest me too terribly much. If we end up including anything, I'll tell you honestly that it probably won't be true to life fact.

I am sure we can work a similiar deal with TFT that we did with Wild Spellcraft. We will make sure all pdf purchasers are aware of this when it becomes available.

Sorry, but I've never heard of this discount before:(, looking at mystic eye website, it is no more available. There is one on Librum Equitis, but all order are restricted to U.S. only:(.

So, I would much more prefer a text only web enhancement of the new material than nothing.

Plus shipping and taxes (5,5%) dramaticaly increase the price of print product in France, and while I'm interested in print version of FCTF, I'm not interested in print version of WS and TFT, my RPG shelf is already full, and I had to remove most of my Jovian Chronicle and Robotech stuff to give some place to d20 books that I regulary use.

Thanks for the reminder. The Wild Spellcraft-e-special is now available for those who purchased the PDF. We can extend this outside the US but shipping costs and taxes/ terrifs are an issue. I am sorry for that.

In regards to a e-version of the upgrade that will not be available as the two books (PDF and Print ) are seperate licenses and copyrights but that does not mean that Ryan can't do errata for the PDF version of course. It just will not contain the new material and layout, etc.

Wouldn't it be possible to put only the OGC online without any layout?

That's not like it will hurt print sales given the size of the pdf market, but in the long run, it might seriously hurt pdf sales.

Well, TFT's sales have slowed down greatly, and once the print version comes out, they'll probably trickle off even more so. Thus, it will be pretty hard to print the pdf sales of TFT. I'd like to share the OGC material with former pdf customers who can't manage to get the print version, but we'd need to talk to MEG first, to work out some sort of arrangement.

What I believe, is that some pdf customer, will stop buying new pdf, because they will feel like they were paying for being playtester with previous pdf.

That's why I ask for the additional OGC, especially that it is OGC.
