Nationalism, Patriotism and the Swedish Flag

Well all of the above is not something you would like to be called not have the possesion of in Sweden.

You would most likely be called a racist, someone would all teh police or you would be beaten up if you said it to a drunk swede.

I feel so sad about my country sometimes

(just having odd thoughts in the morning after an all-nighter of code and thought that I would like to share them here, if it is way off please close me down mods)

I was in Visby and bought a Gotland flag (I'm swedish by heritage, from Gotland). There were two flags, one that apparently was considered the "state flag" and one that is more independence leaning. One had a blue background, the other a red. I figured, what the hell, go with the bizarre Gotlander flag.

I live in Texas, it was only natural. We're the only state (maybe hawaii or california?) that can fly the state flag the same level as the national flag.

Appropos of nothing in particular, but I thought I'd share.
