No.

Yes, I know this, which is why I didn't say the ogre would get a 25' reach. The huge longspear's 15' reach combines with the ogre's 5' of extra reach to give 20'.

An Ogre wielding a size-large longspear has a reach of 10'; for the Ogre, that longspear is no different from a Shortspear sized up to match the ogre himself.

But it is different from a regular shortspear which only has 5' reach. The proportionate length is irrelevant - the only thing that matters is the actual length. If an ogre wielding a shortspear has a 10' reach, then an ogre wielding a longspear, which is 5' longer than a shortspear, should have a 15' reach. And an ogre wielding a huge longspear should have a 20' reach. Like I said, the spear doesn't just suddenly get shorter because an ogre is wielding it.

Technically, it means that a human wielding a dagger should have ~3' reach, and a human wielding a shortspear should have ~7-8' reach, but there's no game mechanic for that.

Actually I believe that Humans have a 5' reach but the dagger and the shortspear have a +0' reach.
