[Necro] Grimtooth's Traps

BOC is fun, but it is useable only in a few instances when everything in your dungeon looks like the artificial encounter WOTC created.

My perception is precisely the opposite. T&T gave me a bunch of bulky traps I feel I would have to wedge into a dungeon. Book of Challenges, which more presents you with a situation, felt much more natural to me.

But, but... what about Traps T(h)ree? Is it never to see the light of day? Not even in PDF?

Now you've gone and done it. Don't you know that you aren't supposed to mention that book on public forums?

The footsteps you hear approaching your doorway are government agents, equipped with neuralizers and every portable trap Grimtooth ever devised. I suggest you run now; you won't escape, but you might make them work for it.

Yes! :) Next to Wrath of Orcus and Bard's Gate, this has been my most anticipated Necro release since...well since Necro started! :)

(btw exalted Undying Prince Clark/Orcus, any chance we'll ever see Bard's Gate or Wrath of Orcus?)

Totally agreeing with you Nightfall, on both parts :D
As soon as I heard about Necro doing Grimtooth's I knew that
I had to pick it up.

We are so excited to get this baby out. We were poised to release it just before v3.5 was announced. So we had to hold it. I am so glad that it is now coming out. If you liked the classics, I really think we kept true to the originals and brought a new story and structure to the book that honors the tongue in cheek nature of the originals with modern stats (which Grimmy always refused to provide) and updated trap info.

But what really cinched it for me was scoring the old Steve Crompton art and getting Steve to do some new bits. He really helped me flesh out the Clack/Bill visit Grimmy story line that we put in. He even added his own personal note in the Preface. It was truly a pleasure working with Flying Buffalo on this.
