Need a concept

Hey,
My group and I are starting a new campaign and I need an idea for a char concept. We're playing in a homebrew world where the world is covered in ice and there is one city of civilization that we'll be starting off in. The kicker is that we'll be playing high level (level 18) dragon characters. 6 of those 18 levels can be used for a dragon char or if I choose I can play something else (although no celestialish types).

So far we have a silver dragon paladin. Any color except white and green are allowed although evil colors must be redeemed (CN at worst)

I don't really need stats, more of an idea for a good character.

Thanks!

Well.. this is a good oppurtunity. Play a half-dragon. I would play a Half-White Dragon/Race of your Choice, who is trying to come to terms with the evil that is one of his/her parents and but who is personally good. This would allow you to have some potential angst.. espically if one of your enemies is you other parent.

Or.

pull out Savage Species and go to town... how about a Tauric Half-Orc/Half Dragon :)

o.. as for Classes.. I would take the left over extra levels that would bring you into line as sorc. This would allow you to take some interesting cold based spells to further flesh out the White dragon feel. Then.. well Fighter or Rogue could be fun. I would go with Rogue/Sorc Half-Dragon/Half Elf (some kinda snow elf).

As a 'dragon' character do you get the sorcerous abilities ascribed to dragons automatically? Probably not...

I like the idea of a brass dragon (chaotic good) with the "Quicken Spell-like ability" Feat who can summon a djinni as a free action every round. :-D

That's the equivalent of an 11th level spell since it's quickened and there's no limit to the number of times per day it can be used. Sure the djinni is only a CR 5 but it will make a nice mine-detector/meat shield and it's a free action.
