Need a GOOD character generator program...

For the last few months, I've been playing an online Scarred Lands campaign. I generated my character using Redblade 3E, which was easy to use and allowed you to save convinient .txt character sheets that could easily be emailed. Unfortunately, I've discovered numerous bugs with the software, and have gone in search of a new program for character generation.

So, to all you people on this here software forum, I'm asking for your advice: Do any of you know of a character generator program that is easy to use, relatively bug-free, and preferably allows you to save character sheets in .html, .txt, or even .doc format? Thanks in advance.

PCGen does, unfortunately we don't use the Scarred lands material as of yet, but if you want to build your PC using all the other wonderful books we have in there from: Green Ronin, AEG, WOTC SRD, Avalance, MEG, etc. we have the info in there for you. You can export your PC to the following formats: XML, HTML,TXT, PDF, and DOC. I think there are probably more but i haven't dug through the whole output sheet lately...

Thank you, Leopold. I've started using PCGen, and although it was a little overwhelming at first, I'm starting to grasp the concepts on character building in it.

Keep up the good work, and I'll definately be looking for more material to be included in it. Scarred Lands, Forgotten Realms, Rokugan, etc.

PCGen also has several .lst editors in the most recent releases. No doc for those editors yet that I know of, so I am holding off except to take them on a test drive. (Vroooom!)

Just to keep your options open, remember that Campaign Suite has a full GM's version as well as a players "Chargen Only" version. I won't list all the features here, but there are plenty.
