Need a list of all D&Disms

Well, does anyone have a list of all the D&Disms in the game? Like Mind Flayers and Beholders and such.

What exactly do you mean by D&Disms? Are you talking about creatures that are exclusive to D&D?

Maybe he means Deities and Demi-godisms.

I mean things that you see only in D&D. That you do not see in any other form of fantasy. The Martial Cleric is another D&Dism i can think of.

Well, i always hear members of the forums referring to something that you only see in D&D as a D&Dism.

Martial clerics are common in places where you expect to see a lot of fighting evil. Usually the demonic kind.

There are so many D&D'isms I have seen on generic non-D&D boards that I've seen people react to in a D&D way... all of the above at least.

Are you referring to specifically D&D specific monsters?

Anyway, many terms used in D&D have taken on a specific meaning that could be called D&D jargon (a D&Dism?).

E.g. Campaign, Initiative, Morale (in previous editions), even adventure.

Going back to monsters...Yuan ti, Carrion Crawlers, umber hulks
