when you multiclass into a class with new skills, what defines the maximum skill ranks you can have in those new skills...

I'm without a reference at the moment........

Are they treated like normal class skills in terms of maximum ranks (not how you spend your skill points)?

If a skill is a class skill for any of your classes, your maximum ranks are your character level +3.

Exception: Exclusive skills. The limit on exclusive skills is (class levels of all classes that grant the skill)+3.

The cost of purchasing any particular skill is determined by the class from which you received the skill ranks.
