Need a Title for Raven Queen Based Miracle Worker (PP)

I never thought of it really. I have a dwarf in the same situation. I just called him the 'miracle worker', but now I need something more.

I think using the color white or black may be fine. White for Winter and black for death. Maybe something that has a tie to the Fate aspect as well.

The White/Black Hand/Eye- The Black Eye doesn't work though.
The Frost Keeper
The White Fate, it's simple.

The principle for the build itself is very different, since the Raven Queen is the harbinger of death. Wouldn't expect to see someone bent around the sustaining of life to be in her service :)

Dont know about that. I had the impression the raven queen had the death portfolio. Its her job to watch over it and allow the souls to pass into the afterlife. She is the manifestation of the natural process, not at all to be confused with a killer of all things living.

A pacifist cleric in her service is perfectly thematic, as her giving healing represents that it is not said recipients time...that is entirely her domain.

I like Black : She is the Raven queen. I also like something that represents helping someone on a path ("Shepard" or "Guide" sit well) as well as Judgement ("Judge")

So
- Black Shepard
- Black Guide
- Black Judge

I am liking what I am hearing here guys and thanks for all of the input.
The following sounded the most interesting to me:

  • Matron of Fate
  • Lady Shepard
  • Queen's Mercy
  • Death Mother
  • Queens Hand
  • Maiden of light
  • Matron of Mercy

Perhaps something like:

Merciful Matron of the Queen's Shepards
Shepardess of the Merciful Light
The White Queen's Maidens of Light
Ebon Shepard of the Merciful Light

still meh...

The way I am seeing it is her sect's primary and, albeit rare responsibility, is to ensure that those who die, die when it is their time and not a moment earlier.

You could go for a classic Greek feel and allude to the Fate Lachesis whose job it was to decide how much time for life was to be allowed for each person or being. "Moirae", "Apportioner", "Drawer of Lots", or "Disposer of Lots".

Or allude to Hermes Psychopompos whose job it was to escort the dead to the underworld. He wouldn't dictate when people would die but you could stretch his purvue since he wouldn't take anyone who wasn't dead. "Psychopomp" or "Conveyor of Souls".

Or go with "Norn"--the Norse equivalent to the Fates.

Taking a look at some of the synonyms for 'heal' or 'healer' and then playing around with them a bit... making some noun forms that don't actually exist... gives you things like:

Alleviant
Ameliorant
Governess
Medicant
Minister
Soothesayer

So you could go with:

Matron Minister of the Raven Queen
Alleviant Mother
Sainted Medicant
Holy Governess

some adjectives for white: alabaster, ivory, ashen, chalky, fair, snowy, pearlescent, pale...

So how about "Alabaster Gothtress" or "Ivory Mistress"?

Thanks for all of the responses so far.
I have not quite yet found what I am looking for.

I guess I am not quite sure what will sound right...

I am, however, going to be using the Greek thing in something else. =)

Perhaps something like:

Merciful Matron of the Queen's Shepards
Shepardess of the Merciful Light
The White Queen's Maidens of Light
Ebon Shepard of the Merciful Light

still meh...

Ugh. Even if you want to use such long-winded official titles, make sure you have a shortened version for everyday use.

After all, there's a reason we don't often refer to mormons as "worshippers in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday saints".

I'm partial to Grey Shephards (or Gray Sisters if you want to be gender specific) myself.
