Speaking from experience, getting rid of a player is never nice or easy. My group once acepted a new player into it even though we had no opening at the time. He begged and begged to be let in so we let him eventually. After a few sessions it became clear that he didn't really fit in very well, he tried to get 100% attention from the DM and got into arguments with other players. It was at that time that we decided to kick him. It's very important to to stand together in this situation, otherwise you'll have no fun game anymore. We told him about it outside of the game and a lot of arguments and bad feelings later we had our fun game back. We felt guilty for some time but in the end it was better for the rest of us and shurely built our 'real' characters. :) BTW, I don't know if you got a dayjob but let me tell you that you stop feeling bad about losing people you know when your company fires your colleagues left and right of you just to survive. :( After a while you're just happy they didn't fire you and new people will eventually replace the ones you lost. So my advice is, meet with him on neutral ground, tell him to buzz off in a friendly manner and be done with it. Just make shure your fellow gamers support you. If they are weak of heart, tell them to simply nod silently when the 'kicked-one' asks them if they want him gone too. Someone has to do the dirty work. ~Marimmar
