It said we can discuss "tools and techniques" in this forum and computer art is part of this, so I figured this is a good place to ask this to those familiar with the 3D programs out there. I need advice on 'em. These first two are specific to 3D figure rendering programs:
- Is Poser 5 a good investment? I read it was unbelievably buggy but I don't know if that's been fixed yet.
- I know there's Daz Studio but I don't think that's going to be out in proper form for a while yet... am I right in thinking this?
Is there anything else on the 3D figure horizon that is expected to blow these two away and make somebody wish they had waited to buy it?
Also, a question that also involves programs that make 3D objects. How much buyer demand is left for any further 3D figures and objects in the fantasy vein sold over the web? What I mean is, I bet someone out there has done a perfect 3D sword by now, so is there any point in trying to work up and sell one of your own (unless it was really fancy/unusual)?
I'm just really tired of getting absolutely nowhere trying to get hired by employers (I took interactive multimedia in college with programs that included 3DSM) so I'm trying to explore this kind of stuff. Thanks for any help in advance.
