Need allies for St. Cuthbert.

My players are hitting 8th level or so and are going head to head agaisnt the church of St. Cuthbert (more of a law vs. chaos thing rather than good vs. evil). In my game I made the church of 'bert untrusting of arcane magic, save that cast by cleric/mages (in which case the character must have an equal or greater number of cleric levels than mage levels. So the highest level wizards you could get would be a Clr10/Wiz10).

Anyway, I need to beef up the church with allies. I was looking for Neutral outsiders and didn't find much except those formorian bug guys and elementals. I was really looking for something onpar with demons and celestials. I like the Inevitables from MotP, but there are only three. I'd like a few more to pick from. I also looked into constructs and everything but the clay golem requires arcane spells.

I think I may have painted myself into a corner here and I was hoping you guys could help me out. Know of any dvine constructs or neutral outsiders or do I have to make my own?

Well according to your post it's more a L vs C thing so why won't LAwful Outsiders work? You also could relax the arcane standards for the so named outsiders and/or constructs that are put together by GASP chaotic POW's in a super secret lab. I DM in Greyhawk and this is what makes Pholtus and their Valourous league of blindness so much fun:D

If you're really set on elemental Neutrals, create a cult of Elemental Good (which would also explain St. C's opposition to the Cult of Elemental Evil and would help to balance out the Princes of Elemental Evil from the old Fiend Folio), and/or use the Moorcockian elemental lords from the 1e Deities and Demigods (or use their Greenwood equivalents from the FRCS).

I agree with Valmur_Dwur's suggestion about using more Lawful types: perhaps Azer (to keep your elemental flavor going) or the [shudder] Modrons from the MotP web supplement?
