The players did that for the first strand of our occult WWII campaign. It was based in the UK, and we gave the GM a medal: a replica of a period Distinguished Service Order. We colluded with his wife so that it got presented to him during the final session, even though that was online during the pandemic.

I really like the idea from others to commission a custom piece of cool art. Then everyone can use it as a desktop background, screen saver, phone wallpaper or in another way they enjoy. No clutter, but personal and fairly versatile.

It would be rather pricey as a gift, but WizKids actually makes a full-sized replica of the wand of orcus. A bit cheaper is Beadle & Grimm's orcus amulet.

Did you write-up your session logs/summaries? Some guys I know recently wrapped up Horror on the Orient Express after six years and they are getting the campaign notes bound into a commemorative book.
