Where is the best place for Cauldron in Greyhawk. Cauldron from the adventure path series in the Dungeon magazine that is. It needs to be near enough to a kingdom/empire to be some form of colony/outpost judging from the second part of the adveture.
In my own campaign, I placed it in the spur of the Lortmils that juts between Bissel and Veluna. I figured that would be a good jumping off point for expeditions to the Yatils and the City of Greyhawk.
Mike's location would also coincide with the general vicinity of Monte Cook's Temple of All Consumption from RttToEE, which isn't a bad thing if you're trying to keep your volcanoes geographically related-ish.
Uncannily, I too have placed Cauldron in the Lortmils. I'm also running RttToEE (or will be in due course) and I thought that Cauldron could make a handier alternative than Verbobonc, should the PCs need access to a city.
It's quite excellent, and should allow you to use Verbobonc "out of the box" so to speak, as well as allow you to customize it to your heart's content (of course).
