Here's an idea - the blade shakes with fury whenever it encounters someone sponaneously using magic or manifansting psionic powers. Whenever it is used to disrupt spellcasting or manifesting, the sword deals an extra 2d6 damage. Maybe not the only ability, but a cool one nonetheless.
