Can any one tell me about Azmorg? It seems to be small gaming company that is web publishing. I got what I would call a blind request to write/help write adventures for them and would like to find out more about them before comitting my time and effort.

This is what they sent:

Hello,

Saw you post on RPG Player Locator and wondered how you would feel about designing adventures for our company? If you'd like to please e-mail me and we can talk about it.

Any advice or opinions would be apprecated.

I just read over their website. If you have never been published before and you have been turned down by all the other companies out there, I'd say go for it. This is, by no means, an insult Just By Design. I would not join them though, for the following reasons:

#1) I am very leery, as a writer myself, of any company that offers only royalties for writing. I have done the royalty bit in the past, by no means do the profits meet the time and work involved with the project.

#2) They are writing modules for
Just By Design publishes fantasy role-playing adventures for the AD&D 2nd Edition™, and other games and supplements.
In my opinion, this is a very bad omen since 2nd Ed is rare to find any more and is followed religiously by a small percentage of players. And, 2nd Ed is still owned by WoTC. As for the other systems, I can probably guess that they are refering to GURPS, Rolemaster, Warhammer Fantasy RPG, and Rifts. All of these others are also eclusive systems, all doing in house adventures and source material.
