Need interesting Underdark merchants!

I've recently used a big underdark "neutral ground" market place IMC. Here's some of the NPCs I used:

Kuo-Toa fishmongers

Drow rangers selling riding lizards

Ogre slavers

Drow bow/arrow salesmen (stocking nothing but MW or magic weapons)

Ogre mercanaries looking for work

A kobold pickpocket

An undead cleric selling potions

An ageing kobold and his two sons, selling trailrations and waterskins

Several weapons dealers

Humans selling all sorts of stolen goods from the surface world, mainly food stuffs like flour, sugar, dried meat etc.

Hope you can use some of this Chaldfont! :)

Wow, this is all great stuff. I think I just missed some opportunities to make Mantol-Derith just a little bit more interesting.

Anyway, yoink...!

Skin Dealers - be it human, orc, trog...You can find that hard to get skin made into a belt, cape, book binding. :)

Perfumes - What strange oders are produced from the plants of the underdark, what strange effects to they cause.

Dyes - Hair dyes, skin dyes, tattoo inks.

Maps - Tunnels to the surface, cave to the..., got one right here next to the deed for a bridge.

I had a "Skin" Salesmen.

Skin was basically a suit of skin you pulled over your nude bodythat made you look like the persons Skin. Think full body latex mask with magic. I even had some deluxe models that showed certain alignments and such when detected.

I had this becuase the characters rcognized one of the skins as being their employer since they were first level (now being 12th level) Turned out she was a drow dressed in a "Skin". Quite upset the players.

Just have them even be common people/heros. The salesmen is saying...
"dress up as Mordenkainen get your custom fitted Elminster here" etc.

Also Doppleganger Prostitues that appear as your most desired mate. Fun at parties.

PC's Thread had quite a few Ideas I stole for my Underdark trading town. Best part is I had a fight there and had warned the characters not to cast light or daylight spells since that may piss off underdark denizens. So of course they did and it went out like 1 round later from bystanders tossing deeper darkness at it. Also the Mindflayer that ran the town charged them a 5K gp fine for doing it and exhiled them.

Just some ideas.
