[QUOTE="garrowolf, post: 5210203, member: 31900"] Well I am partially basing this on Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex so I have Thermoptic Camo systems. They are going to be common on power armor and mechs and various other military vehicles. Shields I am starting at the Gravitic Age at fairly low power. They will get steadily more powerful as the tech levels increase all the way up to Subspace Shields which will require Subspace weapons to even connect with their target. But no shields in the Fusion Age. I do have an idea for a sort of half shield system. Basically have a powerful EM field in front of a ship to deflect some of the solar radiation as well as charged hull plates at the opposite charge. The idea is that it would charge incoming metals one polarity and then reduce the impact with the other. I'm not sure how realistic it is though. Holograms will exist as entertainment but not good or solid enough to trick sensors. I was going to have a lot of ECM drones and EW in the game. My goal is to be able to run Honorverse style combat in the Hyperspace Age. I want the Fusion Age to be very Hard Science Fiction. The Acceleration ranges would be up to 10 gs. The Gravitic Age would introduce inertial compensators going up to nearly 100 gs. The Hyperspace Age would go up to 1000gs. I was going to have lots of drones in this setting as well. Everything would have a little group drone with it. I was thinking about power armor with a few drones attached to it that can crawl off to scout ahead, can attach to your back and fire weapons at people sneaking up behind you, or function as a thrust pack in space and then crawl off and act as a comm relay when you are in an enemy ship. Maybe they could do field surgery on you as well. I was thinking about mechs as often having two crew. One would be dealing with the vehicle itself. The other would be a cyberbrain in a socket riding as navigator controlling the indirect weapons and the support drones for that mech. BTW there will be NO domed cities in my game. They are a rediculous idea made by people who could not imagine the kind of urban structures we live in even today. They thought that people would need a sky and trees to remain sane. We not need those things but we can easily create a skyline in a basement with good screens on the ceiling. My problem with domed cities is that they are extremely difficult to build, difficult to maintain, easy to damage, and if damaged catastrophic for very little effort. I will have Arcologoes replacing that concept entirely. Basically much of any martian city would be underground to start with. Then you build Arcologies on the surface and connect them underground. If a window breaks then one room is messed up. You can add an airlock to the outside of that door and fix the room easily. If one section of a city dome goes then you have a city wide disaster.
