Need quick help from S2, White Plume Mountain

Anyone near their old modules? I'm stealing a fun fight scene from White Plume Mountain for my game this evening -- albeit a 23rd lvl equivalent -- but I forgot to scribble down a detail. Can you help?

I'd love it if someone could take a glance at the giant-crab-in-a-bubble room and tell me what mechanics were used to determine if the PCs accidentally popped the bubble.

Thanks!

Thanks!

All it says is "The skin is soft, resilient and uncomfortably warm to the touch. Under any pressure it immediately becomes taut, and any character unwise enough to puncture it with something sharp will leaver a permanent hole. A stream of scalding water will rush into the corridor, hopefully burning the idiot who made the whole (1-4 points damage). The skin will not "heal" once punctured. Major damage to the waterskin, as from a slash with a sword or axe, will collapse the field like a balloon in 1-6 rounds."

It later says: "The DM will have to watch for characters whose actions may rip the waterskin, especially any foolish enough to use two-handed weapons or violent spells like fireball or lightning bolt. Such people are likely to get the whole party boiled."

Close enough. Thanks, Dave! Now I'm going to reproduce that with a lake of boiling rot and mutated chaos crabs whose claw attacks melt flesh.

I can't wait. :)
