Need some class suggestions/builds, evil DM.

no where in there does it say the wearers wisdom helps AC, where is it written that the Monks belt allows this?
Let's see...

To sum up the post right above yours,

1. The Monk's Belt grants you the AC of a monk of 5th level. Evidence: "If the character is not a monk, she gains the AC and unarmed damage of a 5th-level monk. This AC bonus functions just like the monk’s AC bonus."

2. The Monk's AC bonus works as follows:
When unarmored and unencumbered, the monk adds her Wisdom bonus (if any) to her AC. In addition, a monk gains a +1 bonus to AC at 5th level.

3. Therefore, the monk's belt allows you to add your Wisdom bonus to AC.

4. This position is supported by the FAQ, which states that:
"Does a monk’s belt (DMG 248) grant a non-monk
wearer his Wisdom bonus to AC?
Yes. Note, however, that the wearer gains the AC bonus
only when unarmored and unencumbered, since the belt clearly
states that “this AC bonus functions just like the monk’s AC
bonus.”

secondly if one of you magic making guru's could make a Monks belt and see what the costs would be with the wis to AC and with out. I imagine that will let us know right away if this was the intended or the overlooked?

And if the Monks belt is only 13,000 like the srd 3.5 revised has it, I would love to see what these simple wonderous items would cost

headband of Intellectual defense: This magic item bestowes upon its wearer a bonus to AC = to the wearers Int mod.

Anklet of forethought: this magical bracelet(any mundane item really) bestowes a bonus = to the wearers wis mod to the wearers AC

periapt of personality: same except wearers cha mod to AC...

how much would these items cost, cuz I can tell you right now if a Monks belt does everything that it does and offers wis to AC and only costs 13 grand, your going to have everybody making the above, and paying wholesale bargain rack prices

what the heck collect the whole set!
Calm down. There is no need to get hysterical.

You are arguing that the Monk's Belt should not grant Wis to AC from a game balance perspective, not a rules perspective. With all due respect, you were arguing that the rules did not allow it, and the argument that "It's unbalanced" does nothing to help your case.

Now, your first augment is that it would be too cheap. Would you kindly look at the Dusty Rose Ioun Stone? It is a slotless (meaning that, by the magic item creation guidelines, it costs twice as much as a slotted item) that grants +1 insight bonus to AC for 5,000 gp. Therefore, we can extrapolate that the worth of a slotted item that grants a +1 insight bonus to AC is worth 2500 gp.

The Monk's Belt is worth 13,000 gp. I cannot mathematically prove to you in the space allotted that 2,500 is a smaller value than 13,000 as the full proof would take several pages, but I think we can agree that 2,500 is less.

So, what does the 10,500 extra grant? Better unarmed damage, and more uses of Stunning Fist per day if you have the feat. Whether that is enough to justify the extra cost is debatable.

Even if the Monk's Belt is under priced for the benefit it gives, it still gives that benefit. Whether it should is a different argument than whether it does, and all available evidence suggests that it does.

Next, you seem to have a fear that people will abuse adding mental stats to AC, but all items you proposed to do so would be custom items. There are no rules on making custom items, only guidelines that heavily depend on the DM. There's no obligation to allow a custom item of +Cha to AC into a game.

Check, your move.

I stand corrected and concede the belt is the better alternative.

Now, any suggestions re: enchanting the wearer's unarmed attacks since most animal-forms are incapable of using manufactured weapons? Sure bless/magic fang are obvious selections, but how might one go about adding silver/cold iron, flaming, etc to the druid's various natural weapons?? (besides the obvious auto-fitting warclaws)

The monk's belt is a cheep way to add to the druids AC. Wild shape Armor is a +3 bonus to armor. Meaning you need to buy a +4 armor which cost 16,000 gp plus the cost of masterwork armor.

The Unarmed attack that the belt will over ride the animal forms if it is greater. The druid wild shapes into a form that gives him a claw attack that does 1d6, the belt overrides this to give the druid an attack that does 1d8. It will not affect damage if the animal form gives an attack damage of 1d8 or better.

Wizard/Incantatrix or Wizard/Anima Mage (via the Bind Vestige Feat Chain).

All the goodness of wizard with free persistent spells. Press persist to not die.

Where do you find warclaws? Are those the same things as gauntlets?

They were introduced(?) in the 1980s module Isle of Dread with the Rakasta who fitted metal war-claws (1d6+1) over their natural ones (1d4) to improve their damage. Once encountered, they became a weapon-of-choice by unarmed PCs IMC. Forget whether they're Core, but a quick google shows they are not in the SRD.
