Need you help to rule spell Mind Blank

First Post
Currently most PC in patry has items with Mind Blank effect. It does little in combat and thay doesnt have many enemies, but their allies can't find them, help them when they in need of help and even give them quests :(. How using standart 3.5 rules someone can contact with heroes?

Beg you pardon for my terrible English.

If every party member has Mind Blank active, then, yes, it's going to be very hard to find them.

I'm not sure there are many rules to help you. What you could do is deal with it in game. The people who want to communicate with the party will make their feelings known the next time the party encounters them. Also, you might want to create something akin to the Batsignal, ie a sure way to let the party know that someone needs them.

One spell that I think would work is animal messenger. You could also simply create an item, some kind of cristal of communication, that is effective even the owner is affected by a mind blank.

Hope this helps!

(by the way, even if this is a mostly-english board, you might want to tell us what is your native language, since ENWorld is very multicultural. I'm sure someone here speaks the same language as you do :))

Welcome aboard! :)

1.) What about the spell "Refuge", PHB p. 269?
You can summon allies or be summoned by allies and so the party may circumvent the Mind Blank situation.

2.) If they are so distrustful of another, or paranoid, what about a building (power base) with henchmen/cohorts that manage the schedules of meetings or messenges, like a call center? ;)

Kind regards

Well... their fault really.

If they want their allies to be able to contact them, they should make sure, that they can.

Otherwise, it might be a rather boring travel for a while... ;)

Well, the allies could use divination to find one of the group members who ISN'T mind blanked. . . or even an animal companion with the group. It's also possible that divinations could answer "Who's the last person that knowlingly spoke to (the PC.)"
