Negative energy creatures

In the campaign I'm running, the party wizard is going to begin taking levels in Bonded Summoner and Shadow Adept and wishes to use a shadow or negative energy elemental instead of one of the standard 4 elements. I'm going to allow it, and was wondering if there were statistics for one of these creatures already published somewhere, or if I should just make them up.

There are darkness elementals in the most recent issue of Dragon. The one that's got the shadows and darkness theme.

There are negative energy elementals in Return to the Tomb... I know there is at least one conversion on these boards, so you can likely find it there.
