I don’t feel like there’s any need for it to be radical. It’s an exciting story against a cool backdrop, and a reminder that the future isn’t always an impenetrable black box.

I know. I’m talking about it as a story viewed now. There’s a bunch of stuff there that’s still quite distinctive and some likely to resonate with a particular freshness now, regardless of what’s been on screen before.

Wrong director. This needs a bigshot like Ridley Scott or Chris Nolan or Denis Villeneuve. From watching clips of his work, I can tell J.D. Dillard lacks the talent to manifest the deep themes in Neuromancer. Hopefully the cast can carry it.

While I would prefer Count Zero or something by Walter Jon Williams I am not going to quibble and look forward to this greatly.
Hopefully we get a Count Zero series if this does well, but I don't think you could start the Sprawl Trilogy in the middle.

I would love to see a Hardwired adaptation, 100%. Probably time to do another re-read soon...

Yeah, if anything, Neuromancer's prescience has only grown more accurate in the subsequent years.
