Neverwinter Nights Mods

Well, I just beat F.E.A.R. and was looking to play an RPG, but nothing out there is appealing to me. So, I noticed that there are some home-made adventures made for Neverwinter Nights that I can download and enjoy. Now, I wasn't a huge fan of the original NWN game since I like a strong story and character interaction in my CRPGs. NWN seemed just like a repetitive dungeon crawl. Still, I want to try out some of the mods, and I'm hoping someone can steer me to some of the best ones out there for both story and gameplay.

Also, for kicks I tried to build a sorcerer 20/monk 20 character on NWN platinum after I beat the Underdark expansion the first time, but I wasn't able to access most of the spells because of some block in the game. I guess they were trying to stop people from making a munchkin character. Is there any way to get rid of this block?

What spells were you blocked from using? I had the original release of NWN, plus the two expansions, but all purchased separately from each other. After finishing HotU, I had a ranger/sorcerer/arcane archer, and didn't really have any limits on what spells I could select.

Different type of character, but I didn't hear anything about certain combos of spells being not allowed to certain types of character.

Find the Dreamcatcher series, and the couple other series put out by that same author. If those disappoint you, time to uninstall NWN

I heard that it's only when you try to mix sorcerer with monk. I haven't tried it since though.

Thanks! I'll try it as soon as I finish the BG2 Sunless Citadel mod I'm in now! Which shouldn't be too much longer

I gave up on the Citadel mod... too many bugs. So I'm now downloading the Dreamcatcher series and will tell you what I think. Thanks again!

While I like Adam Miller's work, I preferred Rick Burton's Twilight and Midnight.

And ... I kinda got to say, there's a certain total NWN1 rebuild mod called Wyvern Crown of Cormyr which I'm rather partial of as well

There are many really good modules out there, but I think these two are my favorite (after a really hard choice, of course).
