Boy, I didn't see this coming. So are you telling me that WotC is releasing some sort of document with conversion stats for these books? Was this always part of the plan? Are any other books going to be converted?

Looking at the list I notice I only own one of the books. I assume you have to own the book to get the conversion document, yes?

Does anyone know what these updates will include? I'm guessing it will include mostly new stats, which is always welcome.

These books were published after the 4e announcement and sold with the promise that they would receive conversion to 4e via DDI once 4e was released. Its unclear how the conversion document will be released, but I would hope it would be just a freely downloadable pdf as some consolation for the year long delay in publishing. Of course, as a DDi subscriber, what I really care about is this stuff showing up in the compendium.

I am looking forward to Exemplars of Evil and Elder Evils.

I always felt that was a screw job of splitting the material into two books because there are so many overlapping areas that it could've benefited from being a single 320 page book as opposed to two seperate books.

This free, long overdue update, goes a long way in making these books useful again for the mechanics as opposed to just the ideas. Heck, I was nervous that they were just going to update the stuff piecemeal through books like they did the Worm that Walks in the Open Grave book.

I'm pleasantly surprised they're keeping their promise on these. But since these are good to further promote 4E I understand why they considered it important.

I was _not_ pleased that they didn't keep their promise about releasing the missing 3E errata. But I understand that, too, since it's only relevant for those still playing 3E...
