Hi!
I was thinking of giving wolves and other, similar creatures, the following ability:
unsettling howl (ex): Anybody who is subject to the creature's howl for more than one hour must make a Will save or be shaken for as long as he hears the howling, and 1d6+1 rounds thereafter. Victims with more HD than the howling creature are immune to the effect. A creature that makes his save is immuner to the effect of the howling for one day.
The creature cannot make a bite attack in the same round it is howling.
The DC of the save is 10 + 1/2 the creature's HD + Cha-mod.:
Wolf = DC 9
Dire Wolf = DC 13
Winter Wolf = DC 13
Worg = DC 12
Optional: On full moon nights, the DC of the save rises by 2.
What do you think?
