New and Coming Soon from the Troll Lords (TLG)

Troll Lord

First Post
Hey folks!

I'm woefully behind in my postings and releases what with our growing C&C project. But as the dogs are quiet (except for one digging a hole in the roof of the dog house) I thought tonight would be a good time to catch everyone up one what is coming down the pipe.

Path of the Magi by Sean K Reynolds, Jeff Quick, Mike McCartor and Jason Peck is being bound this week and next and should ship to the distributors next week. This is sourcebook material from some of the best writers in the biz folks and brings you a host of new intwoven feats and spells which make the Magic User class more real than anything you've seen before. 136 pages, 27.95

Okay, I have no idea how to hyperlink anything so you will just have to look at the uncouth: http://trolllord.com/id200.htm

Necromancer Games' Lost City of Barakus is also being bound this week. It is hot on the heels of the Path of the Magi and should ship about the same time. This monster setting adventure book contains all things Necromancer! Everything you've come to expect from the good old Abyssal Lords is packed in these pages, as well as a full color fold out map of the city itself. Your not going to want to miss this one folks! Look for it in the next 10-15 days as well! 212 pages, 34.95. http://trolllord.com/id195.htm

Gary Gygax's Extraordinary Book of Names is being formatted as we speak . . . or write . . . actually its late here and I doubt Davis is laying it our right now as he has the habit of sitting on his front porch on these cool evenings . . . but it should be rolling off to Mr. Gygax's in the next few weeks for final approval and then to the printers! As with all our hardbounds, this one is smyth and sewn and will take about 5-6 seeks to print/bind and ship. no page count yet, it contains some 100,000 names folks so its going to be a good size. We are tentatively setting the price at 29.95. http://trolllord.com/id205.htm

Our own Book of Familiars is soon to be complete, newly laid out and compatible with 3.5. There were some significant changes to 3.5 in the role of familiars which caused this book to be delayed yet once again. But when it arrives its going to bring a whole new look to the familiar and the classes as each class will possess the ability to gain a familiar or animal companion. http://trolllord.com/id182.htm 180 pages 29.95

Necromancer Games Book of Encounters. This book is 150 pages packed full of encounter charts and tables. Perhaps the MOST handy DM tool to come out in years the Book of Encounters is a must have for any GM, veteran or beginner. The book gives ample encounters from a host of sources for all terrain types! Okay, I see my link is down on this one, I'll have to put it up tomorrow.

In the works are Cleaver the Pit (an arena based butcher fest--no d20); Gary Gygax's Essential Places (cover should be finished soon); Necromancer Games' Vindication; Necromancer Games' Blight from the Pits; Halls of Wood, Halls of Stone and Ogre Horde.

Though no announcements have been made nor schedules set, the Castles and Crusades PLayers Handbook is in the works (you can read more about it on our message boards). This rules light version of the game we love will bring the spirit back to the codified world of d20!

Okay, that's it for now I suppose.

Thanks for the updates Steve.

I hope that the new formats, longer books in hardcover, continue to do well for ya as the whole Gygax thing must be as it continues to move forward.

I'll have to pick up the name book as I'm unaware of too many RPG name books out there save the one by Judge's Guild that was basically a reprint of the 20 year old version.

Ah, soon the Path of the Magi eh? Hope that the fighter's book is still planned. There were some interesting hints that it was going to be a different type of fighter book and I know we need something like that and it could be one of the first 3.5 fighter books.

Book of Names

Thanks for the kind words Joe. Path of the Magi will probably be the best straight up d20 sourcebook TLG has ever put out (as the Gygax books are more general reference material) and it will be followed up (or so the plan remains) by Cult of Swords, a new way of looking at the fighter...not just a splat book for more character classes mind you.

As for the book of names Malcolm and Gygax are being pretty industrious in answering questions over on our forums about it. You can check it out here

Thanks,

Release Dates

Hello all,

I've had a chance to talk to the printer and I've gotten solid dates on two of our up coming titles.

Path of the Magi will finish binding on the 3rd of Oct and ship to the warehouse that day. If you are interested in seeing a sample of what the book holds go to our webpage here:
http://trolllord.com/id200.htm

Necromancer Games' Lost City of Barakus is set to ship on the 18th of Oct. They have begun sewing the case binding this week (our bindings are stout folks and take a little longer than the standard RPG book to put together). If you want to learn more about this title go to http://trolllord.com/id195.htm

There are still a few promotional posters left for the Barakus book. If you are interested in receiving one you have to pre-order the book now. Only while supplies last.

Also, we should be uploading a sample copy of The Extraordinary Book of Names. And trust me folks, you have never seen a book quite like this one!
