New Apple stuff!

Enforcer

Explorer
New iPods, in both 30GB and 80GB. They now support games that you can download via iTunes for $4.99.

New iPod Nanos, now in aluminum casing (less scratching) and colors have returned.

iTunes 7 now released. One cool feature is that iTunes will automatically import album cover art for you, provided that the album is available on the iTunes Music Store. Also searching via album cover has been added.

Movies on iTunes! All the Disney studios are on board (duh), with older movies costing $9.99 and new ones costing $12.99 if you pre-order or buy during the first week of release, $14.99 after that. The movies are 640x480 resolution ("near-DVD quality").

And, coming in 1Q of 2007, iTV (the name will be changed Jobs said). It's a device that looks like a Mac Mini that plugs into your TV. You can then stream all of your iTunes media onto your television from your computer via Wi-Fi.

I'm really liking iTunes 7...I've already setup cover art for all my albums. I haven't purchased any movies yet, but I have bought a few TV shows.

I'm hoping they add more movies that are horror/Sci-fi. I'm sure the wheeling and dealing with the record companies continues...

iTunes 7 for Windows is causing a lot of problems. It is quite screwey on my machine and Apple's forums are going nuts with complaints. Playback problems are happening all over the place on Windows Boxes, but it isn't on everyone so there has to be some conflicts with certain hardware devices.

Album art is quite spotty too. I have tons of mp3 files that it won't download the art for eventhough they sell the same songs on thier site.

At this point I wish I hadn't upgraded, last time I do that.

The upgrade to iTunes 7 gave me a bit of a scare too--I got the "You need to power down your Mac" screen upon restarting, which I had never seen before. Everything's fine now and the program works beautifully for me. I can't comment about album art, as almost all of my music had it already (from much time spent copying it from Amazon.com).
