New Character Builder - superior armor?

Maybe it's just that I'm playing in a Dark Sun campaign, and the system isn't set up right for that setting, but last night I tried to make a character with the new CB, and I couldn't select any superior form of armor -- finemail, githweave, stuff like that.

Is there a way to do it that I'm just missing?

Make sure that you change the maximum level to the appropriate level. Its is default at like 5 or 6.

Then choose armor.

Then choose armor Category Chainmail.

Then choose the armor from the Item drop down.

Some of them may not be shown. The CB is case sensitive where the Compendium is not. A lot of things that got entered as Chainmail, hide wont show up since Hide is not capitalized. I am sure they will eventually go in and correct all of that so it reads Chainmail, Hide so that the CB will pick it up.

Most importantly: uncheck the "Show Suggested Items" checkbox, which for some reason seems to hide Masterwork Armor. Once it's unchecked, the drop down box for "Item" should list the superior types.

More importantly if they are Chain you seem to be screwed. The superior armours are there for the other types but not Chain (unless they have fixed it recently). I think the engine is looking for the word Chainmail, but finds Chain in the armour type, so doesn't include them. It's the same reason most magical leather armours don't appear as they are listed as leather and not Leather.

Again, uncheck the "Show suggested items" checkbox to fix this problem. My level 12 cleric|invoker is quite happy with his +3 Healer's Braidmail.

Okay that's even weirder then because you don't need to uncheck that it in any of the other armours.
