New Character Sheet: Clean & Powerful

Right, this I know. The reason I said I need to get to my office computer for Acrobat is so I could provide neceros with instructions on how to add image files to the portrait fields. This can only be done with Acrobat, not with Reader.

"Adobe Reader allows you to fill in forms, you just can't save them." is totally irrelevant to what I was talking about. See post #42 for where this all started.

Ah, I misunderstood. My apologies.

And I see you figured out how to let users add a picture file to the portrait field. And you made the Tab order make sense.

This sheet is REALLY well done. Thanks a ton for all of your hard work.

It's what I do. :)

Torx helped with the auto calculations and picture javascript.

One thing that always bothers me about pre-gen sheets is the unnecessary listing of EVERY skill. IMXP most PC's don't have more than 8-12 skills EVER.

I'd like to see a sheet with a dozen blank lines to write in your skills, and save some space for more important things... not sure what now, but something. Maybe a "item location" graphic like on MMORPGs that shows you what's equipped where.

That's a good point. However, most people that use pre-genned sheets don't want to write anything but what is essential. That's usually why they are already written down: convenience.

It'd be very possible to put in a layer that included only lines (or at least skills that you can use untrained, then a bunch of lines.) Can't think of anything to put underneath it, though, except more feats and racial abilities.

Any chance of getting a layer with my suggestions added in? :)

Honestly, your sheet is so close to perfect (for me) that I would make the changes myself if I knew how. But as yet, I haven't bothered to learn how to use Adobe to edit/create pdf's. (for the sheet I use now I just converted it from Excel) So I must resort to stumbling upon the excellent creation of talented people like you and hope that you're willing to tweak things to fit my personal ideas. ;)

Great-looking character sheets (and the forms and customization options are wonderful)! What software are you using to create these?
Thanks!

Adobe InDesign. Expensive, but well worth it!
