This has been kicking around in the back of my head for a while now, but I want to make a TWF elven warrior who DWs Elven Thinblades (complete warrior) or can i use a double sword which just has the elven thinblade stats?

And can a double sword be set up so it can be unjointed and used seperatly as 2 different weapons instead of 1?

Now the thinblade allows for weapon finess does this automatically make it a light weapon?

my next thought is i want to multi class it with the incarnate so i can get the bonuses from there.

My big problem i guess is should i start as a fighter or as a ranger?

my first lvl will be a fighter/ranger with incarnate next and so on til i get to BAB of +6 then i was thinking of going into Exotic weapon master, then from that 3 lvl PrC I was considering the incadessent (SP) Champion. Not sure I'm still turning it over in my head.

What do you think? weak? possibly too strong?

Alignment would be LN for the lawful bonuses that the incarnate offer.

Not by the rules, and I probably wouldn't allow it, since the thinblade is a balanced exotic weapon by itself. Possibly with two feats devoted to proficiency, but that'd be a stretch.

Again, not by the rules. I could see it, but then you'd be using two thinblades.

No, it doesn't. Its a one-handed weapon that can be used with the Weapon Finesse feat. Note that the weapon itself is listed as a One-Handed weapon.

Start as a Ranger. Lot of extra skill points.

exotic weapon proficiency covers all weapons doesn't it?

and i think i remember my DM saying something about a racial weapon proficiency that would give me as an Elf proficiency in all weapons that have elven/elf or some variantion there of?

because i think i remember there being 2 or 3 differnt elven blades

Elven Courtblade
Elven Thinblade
Elven Shortblade

Could i DW the thinblade, which i think is basically a long sword and a shortblade which i think is basically a short sword?

As for the starting the reason i was considering the fighter is because it has the the bonuse feats which i would need, but then the Ranger gets a few bonuse feats itself which would cover some of the TWF feats that i would need.

Exotic weapon proficiency is for a single weapon each time it's selected.

In the Neverwinter Nights computer game EWP was for all exotic weapons.

You can, however, pick up Improved Weapon Familiarity from Complete Warrior to treat all of the "Elf" exotic weapons as martial weapons.

You can use two-weapon fighting with two elven thinblades, you'll just suffer a greater penalty to hit than you would with a thinblade/lightblade or lightblade/lightblade combo (as normal for one-handed/light weapons).

The weapon you're thinking of is a lightblade, not a thinblade. But, yes, you can dualwield them without major problems (-2/-2 penalty if you have the Two Weapon Fighting feat).

The best way to do it might be 2 levels of Ranger (extra skill points, Track and Two-Weapon Fighting, and a favored enemy being your big benefits), then one, two, or four levels of Fighter for feats.

In the end I'll probable have to use fighter, since the Ranger fighting styles can only be used if I'm in light or no armor, and since mithril is rare in our game world I think fighter will be the way to go.

So it'll be an Elven fighter at first level

next question I was planning on possible going into Exotic Weapon Master, now if i take Improved Weapon Focus making all 'Elven' weapons matial, will this make it so i don't have the pre-reqs which is to have an Exotic Weapon?

I thought at first lvl I'd take Improved Weapon Focus, and as my fighter feat take either Weapon focus in Elven thinblade (complete Warrior) or possible go straight into TWF and hope that i can off set some of my negs with Str.

second lvl I was thinking incarnate then back to figher and so on until i get the pre-reqs for Exotic weapon master, and since that is only a 3 lvl class i though I'd go for incandesent champion after that.

Its just an idea rattling around in the back of my head atm since we're not starting a new game anytime soon i don't think.

Thoughts? does this combo combined with the powers of the incarnate seem overly powerful?
