Aulayan said:Well, I'm going to do the last two weeks in comics, because my store got the shipment about half a week late so I grabbed them just today. I won't go as long winded as I did in my l_j:
Flash #204: Like the story, seriously dislike the art. I can't wait till the new artist begins. (3.9 out of 5) The art really dragged down the score. Luckily I care more about the writing than an art, if this were an equal footing I'd be scoring this a 3 out of 5.
Fantastic Four #507: Unfortunately, that new artist is the current artist of this title. While many times ahead of Alberto Dose, I do also dislike the art of FF. However, I dislike the cover art more. :shudders: I hate even glancing over at it for a second. Great story though, glad Mark Waid is staying on. (4.25 out of 5)
Supreme Power #5: Love the art AND the story. No complaints at all about this issue, other than January can't come soon enough. I want #6 now! Once again, like everytime I reply to these posts. I can't give this a 5 out of 5 because, well, if the next issue is even better than what would I give that? (4.8 out of 5)
EVERYONE READ SUPREME POWER!!!
There.
I also just got Flash #204 and while I concur the with you on the writing quality, I have to disagree about the art style. The artist Flash currently has gives the book this dark, urban feel. Look at most of the panels since #201, it's always either raining or night time. The art helps to emphize that there is a murderer on the loose killing cops. This is opposed to the temporarily stunning most people receive when hit by a ray capable of killing humans.
When is there suppose to be an artist switch?
Oh, and about Supreme Power, you are completly right. Everyone should be reading this book.
I thought I heard something about this book being a limited series, does anyone know how many issues it's slated to go for?
