Regarding exporting...

The online character builder had a hidden export function before they added it officially. If you go to vecna.wizards.com instead of the normal way, there is a debug tab.

There will probably be something similar for the adventure builder. Should be able to figure out the site by checking the status bar for where the program is pulling data from.

Did I read that it will have all the features of the old builder? I was worried about that because the beta would not let you do anything but change the level and name when you customized monsters.

I'll just sit back and watch as WotC manages to screw this up and piss everyone off; it's become such an inevitability that I wouldn't bet against it.

Also I wouldn't bet against people getting pissed off, no matter what... The level of any issue the new release has will be magnified by a factor of 100 in the minds of people who love to hate stuff.

A stupid and only slightly unrelated question:
Did the Essentials monsters (or Dark Sun) ever get entered into my Classic Monster Builder?

I love that thing, and dont really see a need for replacing it with an online version.

They did not to my knowledge. Although not explicitly stated, I think the main reason behind the switch was concern over people subscribing for one month and then getting access to all of the 4ed content. With online version you need to maintain your subscription in order to continue to access it.
