New D&D Survey

In actuality I think the 4E Manual of the Planes is the first D&D book I've gone out of my way to read from cover to cover. I've always been more of a "dip-test" man (flip the book open and see what chapter it lands on) but the MotP had me from the first page. And man, that thing is dripping with ideas.

I attribute this to a few things: the novelty of the new setting, the fact that I'm running a weekly game for the first time in years and therefore have the space to insinuate big ideas slowly into the campaign, and without doubt, the fact that the thing is so well written.
