Stone Anvil Creations (www.stoneanvil.com), a new d20 company, is proud to announce is creation, and its first product line - Spell Effect Patterns.

SPELL EFFECT PATTERNS By Dale Thurber

Ever wonder if your Sleep spell caught that last goblin but there was disagreement between you and the DM or Player?

Ever experienced a stoppage in game play over an agonizing, time-consuming spell lookup in the PH?

Get clearer results and faster answers by using Spell Effect Patterns (SEPs). These are a new way for DMs and spellcasting players to "see the results" of the spells characters cast, and to lessen lookup time in reference books.

Scaled for use with miniatures, these handy printouts answer the questions of "Who/what does my Burning Hands affect?", "What's the range of my Fireball?" and "How is my Detect Poison targetable?", among others. And they do it quickly, and in the coolest visual way possible (barring holographic explosions!!!)

Any chance of a preview, such as a single spell.

And why did you start with cantrips? I would prefer a package of common spells like fireball and cone of cone instead.

Preview

Yes. Since this product is so new, reviews and product refinement are still in the initial stages.

I believe a preview is certainly in order. We will work to get one up on the site ASAP. Thanks for the helpful suggestion.

Also, I plan to take some pictures of the product in play and post those on the site as well.

As for choices of products, our logic followed this path. 1) Make it entry-level player friendly (not high level spells to start). 2) Start with arcane spells, then divine (our thought was just a few more people are interested in arcane spells than divine.) Divine spells will soon be on the site (within the week perhaps?).

Enjoy and look for that free preview @:

Some random comments:
* Yes, definitely put up more levels of **all** types of spells.
* Use fireball as a preview template.
* Have some way (or suggestions) for customers to store these templates.
* Allow the customer to printout the templates to different scales. In particular, if I'm using MageKnight miniatures, I'll need a 1.5" = 5' scale.
* Add art. Light spells should be a glowing ball. Fire-based spell should look like flames. See the Games Workshop templates.

Good luck!
