As mentioned on the RPGA page of the Wizards web site. At Winter Fantasy 2005 Game Mechanics will be starting a new RPGA campaign using the d20 modern rules. No mention on the setting or PC creation rules.

About time although considering we couldn't even manage to get two full tables at Gencon UK for the first D20 Modern game, I'm not sure how popular it will be.

It is amazing how lukewarm the gaming community response to D20M seemed initially. But at the Gamedays (and Cons) I've attended, the offered sessions have always been full, and the players have raved about their games almost without exception.

I hope this campaign does well.

If it werent for the fact that I'm already horribly horribly over-loaded with work and gaming, and that I've looked with suspicion on Living ______ games, I'd be tempted.

I hope it goes well. May not, though. Modern is popular, but alot of the popularity is its "Do Anything"-ness ... which won't be highlighted in a strict Living X campaign model, meaning Living X will only appeal to a small facet.

Ditto.

HT and Olive:

Good point. But it's possible that same small facet may temporarily thrust the camapign product into the limelight...and by its tenacious refusal to go away, demand a continuing array of new material.
