New Dialup ISP needed

I just moved to DeKalb IL and am having a hard time choosing / finding a new ISP. Any suggestions on companies to avoid or seek out. I am not interested in AOL or its ilk.

A lot of people are happy with EarthLink DSL/Cable, I'm sure their Dial-up is just as good.

Have you thought of DSL or Cable?

Thanks, I completely forgot about them. I hooked my parents up with them a few years ago. Earthlink even has a local hook up.

As an owner of a small (independent) ISP in Indiana I would ask you to see if you have a small local ISP in the area. Ask your chamber of commerce.

They may be small but they are probably personable and are a face to go down and talk to when you have problems or questions.

That is a really good idea. I did a search for ISPs and came up with so many that I became frustrated from the lack of information on them, but I never thought of my local CoC. I signed up with Earthlink, but only for the six months of half price so I would have time to find something else. I like to pay $10 a month for dial up, not $20+.
