Clearly. Mockery is the only repsonse for those foolish enough not to accept the new "Dragon Magazine" into their hearts. How dare they expect quality? Grognards.

In the first place, quality is, bear with me now, subjective.

I liked the article.

Secondly, the OP wasn't mocking people who didn't like the article, he was mocking people who have to bring up the canceling of the licenses into EVERY conversation.

It's about as silly as me posting every time a Dungeon came out, from #111-150 with "they canceled Polyhedron for this?!?!?"

Paizo made a decision to cancel Polyhedron I wasn't happy with. Wizards made a decision to take over Dungeon and Dragon again many aren't happy with.

At some point, life must go on.

Or you can be mocked.

I'm not sure if this is you or not. I haven't seen you do this. I have seen others do it and they deserve to be mocked.

Would it make you feel better if I posted something mocking people who getting antsy about the Evil Paladin (And angels of valor)/Asmodeus as a god/Tiefling/Warlock Stuff. That's equally mockable, I just don't as agree with it.

This is a HUMOR thread. If you fail sarcasm, sorry.

No . I recognize sarcasm. I actually was pointing out that you were being sarcastic. You were being very funny and sarcastic at the expense of those who disagree with you. I get sarcasm. Sometimes I even do it myself. Watch.

"There totally isn't a stickied thread by the moderators asking people to knock it off with the satire threads. There totally isn't. Dude."

See? I get sarcasm.

Care to point where I've done this? In every converaation regarding dragon?

snipped..bla blah blah blah...

God forbid anyone be unhappy about what WOTC puts out.

I'm amazed cos, people were crying for years for 3.x to come out because they were really unhappy with (A) D&D. Should they have been mocked everytime a complaint was made about TSR, their practices and policies as regards to AD&D?

At any rate, I meant what I said. I think it's pretty sad that Paizo lost that license , and then we are given MySpace Blogs in return as an example of "great new online content".

You did it once, just recently, I linked to it, it's way past time to let it go dude.

For example, I was a Polyhedron subscriber. I loved that magazine.

I joined RPGA just for that magazine. That might seem silly, but I have a group and don't do the con thing, and a d20 magazine with mini-games was worth the small entry fee for the RPGA.

Then it was merged with Dungeon, then, because Dungeon readers complained about "their" magazine being polluted with Polyhedron, it was just cancelled.

I was left with a Dungeon subscription I didn't want and had no use for.

All because of a business decision Paizo made.

I don't bring this up often, usually just when I am told, over and over, how evil Wotc is for what they did to poor, virtuous Paizo who would never make a cold-blooded business decision and stick someone with a magazine he didn't one, in place of the one he paid for.

Or not.

At any rate, I don't bring it up at every opportunity, because I'm over it.

Paizo doesn't make Dungeon or Dragon anymore.

At some point, one would imagine, life will go on.

Maybe the Paizo experience I had has allowed me to move on faster, or maybe its because I don't consider the Paizo era the magazine's golden age anyway (that would be the Roger Moore Kim Mohan era, when Dragon actually produced articles about *gasp* non D&D games and had a module in the center every month).

God forbid anyone be unhappy about what WOTC puts out.

Once again, I wasn't making fun of you for not liking the article.

I was making fun of you for expressing your dislike of the article with "Paizo lost the license for this :("

Dude. Get over it.

Paizo is a business. Wizards is a business.

Both have made decisions for bottom line reasons that you and I have disagreed with.

That's it.

Oh, and a question (which I was actually wondering about during my first post):

Which article? I mean, there have been a few, and I could count the Design & Development articles there too.

Then REPORT me.

I don't think It'll sting much, but I read that sticky, and lookee here, it isn't about sarcasm, it is about misinformation.

4E - Give the misinformation/satire threads a rest, please
While they no doubt seem amusing at the time, threads that pronounce blatantly false pronouncements of dooooom ("D&D 4.5 is coming!") just create anxiety, reported posts, and moderator annoyance. Please avoid posting those for now. If you do post them, don't be surprised if they're shut down; at this juncture, I'd rather the forum be about information than misinformation.

Funny is still good, of course. But use good judgment, and don't try to create funny at someone else's expense.

Thanks!

Wow. I was being humorous. Sorry if you failed sarcasm.
Maybe we could all learn a thing or 2 about using sarcasm to get your point across in a written medium.

Guys and gals and assorted other gentlebeasts, calm down! We are all friends here. Except for the guys who are just here to watch the nerdfights.

Also, answer my question. Seriously, which article?

:)
