Very very cool James!

I'll admit, you've made me grin with virtually everything you've had a hand in lately. It's all been really well written, and on topics I mentally gnaw on. Spiffy stuff.

Congrats to James.

Between this thread and the Golden Age of Dragon, I've been thinking. The older issues, I've read them enough to feel like I know Roger Moore, Dale Donovan, Kim Mohan, and others. The present staff, the names don't scream out recognition to me. But, in this age of the internet, it's so much easier to be in touch with them; how often have Jacobs and Mona posted here? Plenty of times on the Hordes of the Abyss thread, and plenty of other places. The Paizo boards are even better for this; I especially love the Campaign Journals of Jason Bulhman runs Eberron(wark!) and Erik Mona DMs Greyhawk (long overdue for an update). From those journals, I'm pretty sure the Paizo crew would fit in fine with my groups (Mike Mearls's language is particularly fitting).

So, from what I've seen in the magazine, and what I've seen on the boards, I'd say James Jacobs is good people.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone! I just hope I can live up to the high standards set by Boss Mona over teh last 30-some issues. I'd better, at least, cause he knows where I work...

Anyway, Erik's not going anywhere. He was doing three jobs at once there for a while, and the promotion is as much about giving him a chance to do something other than work 25-hour days as it is anything else! Now that he's just doing the publisher and the EIC of Dragon thing, maybe he'll have a chance to stop to chew his food! :)

As for the Greyhawk campaign journal... although we won't be playing this week (curse you, Origins!), I'll do my best to get that thing updated. It has indeed been too long since the last update...

All right, as long as Erik isn't going anywhere, I welcome you with open arms. ;)

Congrats to you, James, for the First Officer's chair, and congrats to Erik for the now-manageable workload!
