New EN World Feature: Prismatic Wars

You're more than welcome to try out a new feature here at EN World - Prismatic Wars (name not yet fully decided).

Don't worry about the "gold pieces" element - I've put a free card deck in there for you to play with. You can also win cards off each other and off the computer opponents.

There's a tournament set up which is waiting for 8 players to join. The winner will get 30gp to spend on more cards or in the market. If you want to join the tournament, play a few games first so you're familiar with the game rules.

So far, Very Nice! I've had to click on "Active Battles" a couple times to get it to refresh, but I'm also on my works crappy IE6 (oh, the shame).

It's a product I purchased and installed; I didn't write it. I've no idea which artists the developer used or licensed.

The software company is indicated in the product itself. It's not exactly hidden. Software companies tend to encourage the phenemonon of people knowing who wrote it.

Out of curiosity, though, I have asked them about the art.

Art might be from pre-existing sources - I recognized one of the dragons as being from the cover of the novel "Fire Sea" from the Death Gate Cycle.

Play seems almost identical to 'Triple Triad', the card game from Final Fantasy 8. Same grid, format, rules, etc.

Only weird thing is the 'magic items'. Do they have actual values that are hidden? Or are they just immune to attack? I haven't been able to figure them out yet whenever they get used against me...
