As I've been working my way through the various "trick shot" feats, it struck me that there's no way to represent the common intimidation technique of "shaving" somebody. You know the scene :
{Hero has Villain at arrow point, interrogating Villain}
Villain: I ain't talking.
Hero: {arrow flies right by Villain ear, cutting hair} I wonder how much closer I can miss?
Villain: {informative babble}
Here's my potential feat for this:
Intimidating Shot [General, Combat]
Prereq: Weapon Expertise (any melee weapon) OR Precise Shot, BAB +5
Benefit: By making an attack at a penalty, the character can gain a bonus on Intimidate and Gather Information checks that follow. This bonus is +1 for every -2 reduction. The character does not receive the bonus if the attack misses. If the attack hits, it causes normal damage, unless the character is willing to take an additional reduction of -4, in which case the attack causes no damage but still grants the bonus.
What do you think?
