New Feat Opinions: Expert Trip

It seems to me a feat that gives a bonus to the opposed stat roll for the Trip maneuver is needed. In your opinion, should this bonus be a +2, or a +4?

+4. The size bonus and quadruped bonus are +4, and mean that a normal fighter can effectively *never* trip a horse. A feat that disallows the free trip attack on the attacker if the attacker's trip fails would probably also be good (but maybe a subject for another thread).

Another vote for +4; also, I agree that a feat to disallow the return trip attempt is a good idea.

Of course, a fighter with improved trip plus these two feats will essentially always get to trip an enemy and take a free shot and will never really have a motivation to not trip an enemy with his first attack in a round. So maybe not, on the anti-return-trip feat.

It's an issue worth mulling over, anyway.
