That is easily the worse cover I have ever seen for a D&D book...

No no .... you have to remember that we're trying to reach out to a new generation of gamers. To them it'll rock! My taste and possibly yours are subservient to the the creation of a new campaign setting for 4e. Screw tradition!

The cover is not bad. The cartoonish/anime feel is not of my taste, but still it's going to attract new customers.

I never liked FR (I preferred AD&D 2E Greyhawk), but I'm a bit more interested now because of the drastic change for 4E.

Anyway,

I still actually like the cover though (despite its 'Foolish'-ness)...... what's wrong with an angsty? Spell Plague ruined my childhood mojo for an elven adventurer? They'd be the one's to remember how bad an event like that would've been.....
