New Freeport Release Date?

Is there a release date for the new Freeport yet? I was over at Green Ronin's site and it looks like its been redone. I think it looks better, but its terrible to navigate and I can't find any info on a release date. Even on the blog their isn't an easy way to show all of the posts. Maybe I'm just ridiculously tired, who knows? Anyhoo, I thought I heard Chris Pramas say on the 2d6 Podcast it was at the printer now. Any word when that will be on in stores or available for purchase from their website?

JVisgaitis, will you have a place for Freeport in your Avadnu Primer setting? I think this would be a great idea. By the way, is your setting still going to be devoid of any specific game system? I am mostly interested in it, if I could use it with True20. I am really looking forward to buy this setting! (preview art is wonderful.)

Is the new Freeport the systemless version that I've been hearing about?
That's the first book, yeah. D20 and True20 books come after, along with what is apparently an update of Denizens of Freeport, called Buccaneers of Freeport.

Probably not. I love Freeport, don't get me wrong, but the flavor of it isn't very Violet Dawn. If someone wanted to slot it into Avadnu, it wouldn't be a problem. I'll let that up to individual DMs to decide.

It certainly will be and I have you to thank for that. You turned me down this road last year some time. We're still going to release the d20 rules in some type of format. Most likely PDFs.

The Pirate's Guide is nearly at the printers. We're still awaiting a few pieces of art and then its ready to go. I'm not certain what the revised release is, but it's coming very soon.

After the Pirate's Guide, we have the True20 Freeport Companion. It provides support rules, creatures, and character stats and info for most of the folks in the Pirate's Guide. This one is going into layout very soon.

Dark Wings over Freeport is a special Bleeding Edge adventure set in the City of Adventure. It takes place 5 years after Crisis in Freeport and packs a big punch for a 32 page scenario. Rob Vaughn of Midnight fame designed this one.

Next up is Cults of Freeport, a definitive resource on the various subversive and strange religious sects and cults found in the city. Like the Pirate's Guide, it has no stats, but we'll be offering True20 stats as a free download and the d20 stats *may* be included in the d20 Companion if I have room (otherwise, you'll be able to download them). Steve Darlington, Jody Macgregor, Dan White (all of WFRP fame), Chris Williams (of CoC fame), and myself worked on this book.

The d20 Freeport Companion is up next and it provides stats for the key characters, new classes (including a completely overhauled assassin, the long awaited Monster Hunter, and more), new PrCs, Freeport feats, spells, magic items, madness, and so on. This book is packed to the gills with Freeport crunch and I'm having a great time writing it.

Following this is Bucs of Freeport. This is a stat-less book that provides detailed descriptions of some of the most famous pirates, corsairs, and freebooters to sail the waters around the Serpent's Teeth. While nearly all the pirates described are new, there are a few old friends too. Ari Marmell, Anthony Pryor, Rodney Thomspon, and Rob Vaughn.

All of these books are due out this year, making 07 Freeport's best year ever. Can you tell that I'm a little excited?

Thanks for the info. That's quite a product line. Glad to see that Freeport is getting the love it deserves. :)

As a newcomer to the docks of Freeport (I'm reading the Freeport Trilogy and Black Sails now), I'm very excited by this wealth of new material for 2007.

Here's one vote for as much d20 support for the new Freeport as possible. :D
