New game that is tons of fun

Games that attempt to strip out bits and pieces of other games and slap them together in a sort of Frankenstein approach rarely work well. Add on top of it, that the charts are completely up to the GM to interpret and this indicates to me that no thought or rigor has been put into the ruleset, and the combination is likely to be unwieldy and force me to do even more work.

Comes to mind.....

Sure I could have done Rifts, but this seems to be a better fit of what they are selling.

the site could have been up forever, if they just learned about it yesterday, they only could have downloaded it since then

no idea, it says pre-release, are they sending me a printed pre-release? Are they sending me anything at all right now or do I have to wait for the full release?

If the site has been around for 10 years (I can believe that… and probably never updated either), should we really still wait for a release or has this been abandoned
You seemed determined to misunderstand this to the best of your ability. The site has said book. What is a book in your opinion if not paper bound with content within? Once again you display a lack of observation that has produced a moment where if you had taken the time to look you would see that the copy right is 2014-2025. How much more current would you like? Perhaps you should go to the promo page where you can find answers and show a decline in your tendency to incorrectly assume.

OK No one here is pretending. Malcadore's post was genuine. He is one of my players, and other than tell him I was trying out this site, he acted on his own volition. While I understand a natural tendency to be suspicious, as the game designer, I am being as transparent as possible. Nothing he or I have posted are fake.

it also say pre-release, are they sending me a printed pre-release? If so, why would I even want that rather than the final version whenever that is available and a digital copy of whatever they have now?

So no, I have no idea what they will be sending me, if anything, after I paid $100. That I hopefully eventually get a printed book with around 550 pages is true, but I have no idea if they send me a printed pre-release in a few days or not - and quite frankly I’d rather want them to not do that. Give me a digital copy now (and updates as it nears completion) and a printed book whenever the final version is done.

I saw the 2025, the website certainly looks more like 2014. I can see them just changing the to-year every year. Nothing on the site tells me much about the book, progress over the years, or even plans for the final version (what changes / additions and by when). So no, the website does not at all look like it is getting updates, changing one number every year does not change that impression

It sounds to me like you might be better off skipping this one mate. For everyones sake.

As long as you are quiet then it is a win win.
hey, since that is your book and presumably website, take it as constructive feedback. There is a lot about the site that could be improved. Even if I were interested in the book, that site would make sure I’d not buy it
