New He-Man on CN

Hand of Vecna

First Post
Friday, August 16th, at 4:00pm EST, Cartoon Network will show the new animated movie He-Man & the Masters of the Universe. Seems to be a revamping of the show instead of a continuation, since it looks like it'll be showing the origins of both He-Man and Skeletor.

Do those Cartoon Network promos rock or what? The dramatic build-up, the deep voice, the powerful delivery... I'm really looking forward to this, and I wasn't a huge He-Man fan the first time around.

It is, of course, too early to say much about the series, but from what little I've seen and heard so far, it looks like they're doing this remake RIGHT (unlike, say, G.I. Joe Extreme, or the teen-age Flash Gordon).

I think they've changed it now or added additional days. The promo I just saw was for the 18th.

Btw, I'm bummed since I missed out on seen Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. Anyone want to spoil me about how the Joker came back?

You know the kid robin from the old batman show (well, I can't really say old because it was the newest-or should I say last- 'season' of the show)? Anyway, joker kidnapped him and gave him an implant on the back of his neck that spliced joker's DNA with robin's, sort of like an alternate personality thing/jeckel and hyde thing. Some 40 years later, he shows up again to cause havic, now that he is strong enough to stay in joker mode for long periods of time. Then Terri goes and kicks his butt and saves robin, destroying the chip in the process.

Well, there is more to it than that, but you'll have to see the movie. I think it was good, but that's just me (you might not want to trust me, considering that I thought the Final Fantasy movie was good).

No it sounds good. So what happened to Nightwing then? I mean is Dick Grayson still around? I know what happened to Barbara.
So what Tim was the Joker then?

They didn't really talk about dick (nightwing). They mentioned that he got set up in another town. it was tim that was joker.

Darn. I'm sorry that happened to poor Tim. He was hard nosed kid but he had a good heart. I hope that means maybe if Dick is still around, maybe they'll do a sequel with the NEW batman meeting the "old" Nightwing. Now THAT would be cool! :D
